Cast Members on the ‘Walk of the Rock‘ meet media teams for photo ops in the historic 100 year-old Cellhouse!
‘ROCK’-STARS Gather under the stars for Premiere!
Cast members, producers and over 300 guests brought Alcatraz Island to life January 11th – with a fantastic celebration within the concrete and steel of the historic ‘Cellhouse’ – and screened the pilot episode of the gripping new FOX network series – ‘ALCATRAZ’!
Guests were seated tightly within the infamous ‘D-Block’ section and enjoyed the premiere via a twenty-foot big screen and superb sound-track. Action scenes reverberated off the concrete walls – as the viewers were temporarily distracted from the barred windows and light-less ‘strip-cells’ framing this ‘only-in-San Francisco’ venue.
Former ‘Correctional Officers’ Frank Heaney (1948-51) and George DeVincenzi (1950-58) accompanied ex-convict Robert ‘Cold-Blue’ Luke, (a.k.a. #1118AZ – 1954-59) and daughter of a former Associate Warden, Jolene Babyak – presenting real history of U.S.P.-AlcatraZ to wide-eyed guests. These ‘Rock’ veterans also enjoyed red-carpet treatment, see above.
‘ALCATRAZ’ premiers on broadcast Monday, January 16th on FOX @ 8:00p PST, 7 Central. Check listings in your area – and don’t miss this show – it’s ‘Inescapable’ . . .
